Mini-bloomers. Take one.

Here’s just a quick pic of some adorable mini-bloomers (the Colette ones. I swear, I’ll move on to a new pattern designer eventually…) I made these as a sample for the shop where I’m working. Aren’t they they cutest things you’ve ever seen?

It’s hard to see, but the fabric is a lovely cotton, all soft and smooth. It’s pink with little white dots! I cut a size 18, although when I measured the little 4x4” test swatch, it was a little off – about .25” to the small side. The 4x4 inch square was more like 3.75 x 3.75”. I tried these on and I can attest to the extreme cuteness of these bloomers – especially in the rearview mirror!

That being said, these are destined to be a store sample, not snug bug sleepwear. The pattern is drafted lower than I like – hitting on the bottom of my hipbones. For lounging, I’ll be more comfy with the waistband hitting me closer to my belly button. Also, the size 18 measurements are a bit snug on me, so I’ll add a few inches of ease for my next version.

So there’s the sneak peek! Pure adorableness! Here’s the view going…

OK, let me say you have made them beautifully, but I really do not like the pattern. They look like baby panties to me and I know they would be hideous on my body. But I don't have to like a pattern for it to be beloved by everyone else. I mean, there are at least 2 people in the world who don't like the Sencha blouse, right?

Great photos! I guess I'll have to photograph mine, too.

I have made a "try out" pair and I wear it all the time at night! I have also decided to made a few that will become Christmas presents!

K.Line - I hear where you're coming from - my taste totally veers towards minnie mouse! They are super cute on, and once I recut with a higher waistline, I will totally love these for 'jammies! Yay! Jammies!

Gaidig! pictures! pictures! pictures!

Laurwyn - I think these would be awesome presents - with the more basic sizing (XS- XL) it'd be easier to guess on sizes!

Sooo cute!

I guess this is my cue to actually do something with the ones that have been sitting cut out (still pinned to the pattern pieces) on my computer desk since, um, early October.
